HOW TO MAKE TOOTH BRUSHING FUN FOR SMALL KIDS?

HOW TO MAKE TOOTH BRUSHING FUN FOR SMALL KIDS?

a) The parents should be good examples. Children always look up to their parents for everything. So, if you make sure to brush and floss daily regularly without fail, your children will also pick up the habit and follow it throughout their life.

b) Let your children participate in tooth brushing. Children insist on doing everything themselves. Let them brush on their own first. Appreciate their effort. Afterward, the parents should brush them again.

c) Try role-plays. Allow them to be the dentist and you to be the patient. This gives them a feeling of control. In the end, you will get them to brush their own teeth and it’s a win-win situation!

d) Try to make toothbrushing a fun activity. Play some music or make it a game so that the child enjoys the full 2 minutes of brushing.

e) Allow the child to try brushing on their favorite toy or stuffed animal during their playtime. This will enhance their interest in oral hygiene activities.

f) Give your child small rewards or gifts like small stickers after they finish brushing daily. Prepare a calendar and mark all the days when they brush. At the end of the month, if they successfully brush on all the days, reward them with a bigger gift like a toy or a book that they like.
